Embracing the Gothic

If you're fond of cupcakes, cute kittens and Cupids, look away now; as can be seen from the photograph of the top of my bedside 'Haunted Bookcase', my taste is for the Gothic, for ravens, grim reapers, ghosts and vampires. As a member of the Dracula Society, I raise a glass every year to 'the Count' at the Bram Stoker Annual Dinner (you can see my 'Tuica' glass that I take on Dracula Society trips, such as our frequent visits to Whitby on the right of the picture. Naroc! (Our customary Romanian toast.) I love exploring Victorian cemeteries and dressing in black. Much to my surprise I'm an OAP; I'm also a struggling writer. My ambition is to publish one of my novels before I'm seventy, but time is running out.
